Health Corner
Medication Storage
If a student needs to store/carry medication for Sever allergy, Asthma, or daily meds for ADHD etc. in school during this school year, please go to the office to get a copy of Form SH36. Fill out the form in order to get approved. This form must be renewed yearly. No medications are allowed in school without this form.
Peanut/Nut Free School
Please remember that at Momilani we have students with severe allergies to nuts, so we are a nut free school!

School Community Council (SCC)
Join the School Community Council!
The Momilani School Community Council (SCC) represents a group within the Momilani Community committed to the interests of the school. Our group is made up of individuals from the school’s administrators, teachers, staff, parents, students and community members. We meet quarterly at the library to discuss what’s going on at the school such as the Financial and Academic Plans, student achievement, student leadership reports and Spring Olympics. We also participate in an end of the year evaluation and conduct nominations and elections for the following next year board members. We are looking forward to another exciting educational year at Momilani Elementary School!

The Hui O Momilani will be holding their first official meeting for the 2022-2023 school year on Friday, October 14, 2022 from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Momilani Cafeteria.
Everyone is welcomed to attend this meeting where you will be able to learn about how you can get involved with the Hui, how to volunteer, and most importantly, how to become a member of the Hui O Momilani PTSO.

Hui O Momilani Beautification Day Sign Up Link - July 9 & 10, 2022

The Hui O Momilani PTSO is organizing a Beautification Day Event on campus at Momilani Elementary School, and is looking for more volunteers for their event.
The classroom teachers should have already shared the volunteer sign up link with everyone, but the Hui would like to extend the registration deadline for a couple of weeks.

Hui O Momilani Gingerbread House Kit Sales - Mon. Nov. 29 - Tues. Dec. 7

Aloha Momilani 'Ohana,
The holidays are just around the corner and the Hui O Momilani PTSO will be selling Gingerbread House Kits again this year! This is the perfect activity for the whole family to enjoy decorating together and then displaying in your homes!
The Gingerbread House Kits will be on sale from Monday November 29, 2021 until Tuesday December 7, 2021.
Each kit will be $15 for Hui members and $16 for non-Hui members.
Kits will be available for purchase on the Hui O Momilani Square Site.

Please order your kits as soon as possible as we only have a limited supply!
Kits will be available for pick up at Momilani Elementary school, by the front office, on Saturday December 11, 2021 from 9am to 3pm.

Due to a recent surge in "Phishing" and scam attempts targeted at DOE staff members and now targeting additional members of the Momilani 'Ohana, we wanted to caution everyone to be aware of any solicitations or requests for donations or funding via email.
Please see the warning letter from the Hui O Momilani president for some brief reminders regarding requests for funding or donations to the Hui.

Virtual Craft Night #3 - Fri. April 30, 2021

Our last Craft Night @Home for 2021 is coming. We're going to spread our wings and fly like a butterfly!
The Paint Party is set for Friday, April 30, 2021 at 5:30 pm HST. We'll be guided by local artist, Jenny B., in creating our beautiful acrylic butterflies on an 8 x 10 canvas. The kit will include all items necessary. You will need to provide water and paper towels.
Please register by Friday, April 16, 2021.
Kits are $14.50 for non-members and $14.00 for Hui Members.
Kits will be available for pick up on Monday, April 26, 2021 with the Google Meet link emailed to participants when it's available.
Please email the Hui Treasurer if you would like to check on your membership status.

As we say farewell to the Year of the Rat and welcome the Year of the Ox for Chinese New Year Friday, celebrate our love for each other on Valentines Day on Sunday (don't forget!), remember our Presidents on Monday for Presidents Day, and look forward to Malasadas on Fat Tuesday. As we start the year off in the new norm, we know our kids will be digging deep and strengthening their Formative Five skills: empathy, self-control, integrity, embracing diversity, and grit. In the coming weeks we will be meeting to discuss how we can best support our Momilani Ohana. While we know that not every event we have supported in the past will be able to continue, we look forward to the possibilities of modifying old traditions and creating new ones.
