Built in 1972, Momilani Elementary School (Kindergarten-Grade 6, 400 students) is located at the top of Pearl City in a peaceful setting with a panoramic view stretching from Honolulu, across Pearl Harbor, to Makakilo. Our school population is comprised of students from a predominantly middle socioeconomic background.
Working together to make Momilani a caring and responsive community has led to student and school success. As a result, we have been nationally recognized, receiving awards for National Blue Ribbon School of Excellence (1997, 2004, 2010) and National School Safety, Discipline and Drug Prevention (1997).
For six consecutive editions, Momilani was listed as Number 1 in Honolulu Magazine’s ranking of 255 public schools (2008-2013). We also received the Hawaii Blue Ribbon School Award (1996, 2002, 2010), Hawaii Distinguished School Award each year from 2004-2007, and honored 15 times with the DOE’s Annual Achievement Award (2008-2013).
